Promote your Personal and
Professional Development
The challenges of 2009 forced many to re-examine
how we lead our lives as individuals, family members and employees. As we
begin 2010, we invite you to participate in a day-long symposium to explore
the question of how we can become our best selves. Basing our title on one
of Ghandi’s most famous quotes, “Becoming The Change You Wish to See In the
World: A New Year, A New You” is a one day event with seminars by four of
Maine’s leading specialists in the fields of personal growth and career
advancement.
Each workshop explores
methods to transcend our limiting behaviors, and as a result, improve
communication, heighten self-awareness, gain personal direction, and
increase productivity. The goal is for attendees to leave as individuals
and employees who are better able to realize their potential, achieve their
goals, and lead happier, more empowered lives.
The symposium will take
place at Unum on January 30th, 2010 from 9am to 4pm. Each
presentation will last an hour and will include opportunities for Q&A. There
will be a one-hour lunch break during which attendees are encouraged to
network and visit personal growth and wellness exhibitor tables. For
interested individuals, Fran Liautaud will also be hosting free 30-minute
personal sessions using her Dialogue method throughout the day.
Personal Growth and
Wellness practitioners who are interested in exhibiting at this event should
please contact David Lee at
David@HumanNatureAtWork.com. The snow date for this event is Saturday,
February 6th 2010.
Please join us and David
Lee, Fran Liautaud, Michael Chase and Jim Bouchard in a day of personal and
professional development hosted by Unum. All time is donated by our
presenters, and all proceeds from the symposium benefit the Cancer Community
Center, a comfortable, friendly place where adults living with cancer, and
their families and friends gather to build social and emotional support as a
complement to their regular medical care.
Register and Win!
For the employer who has the most people
sign up, they will get:
A free 90 minute program of Jim Bouchard's plus a 3 hour Team Building /
Coaching Session with Fran Liautaud. (over $4000 value)

Whatever Life Brings:
Facing Change, Challenge, and
Uncertainty with Courage, Confidence, and Optimism
with David Lee
Today’s world of unrelenting change and
uncertainty requires that we possess a level of resilience far greater
than ever before. With greater resilience, we can find serenity and
hope in the midst of major life challenges and an uncertain future.
Our ability to
face change, challenge, and uncertainty with courage, confidence, and
optimism doesn’t just benefit ourselves. Perhaps even more
importantly, it enables us to help and inspire others as they go
through their hard times. By our example, we can help others discover
their own inner strength. Thus, developing greater resilience is both
a gift to ourselves and to those we love.
This program is
especially useful for people going through major life changes, such as
health challenges, a career transition, job loss, or the ending of a
relationship.
In this program,
participants will learn:
 |
Powerful, easy-to-apply techniques for developing more serene
responses to both everyday hassles and demands as well as major life
crises. |
 |
How to
rise above daily dramas and put difficult situations in a larger
perspective. |
 |
How to
detect the hidden gifts and opportunities inherent in every crisis. |
 |
The Mythic Journey Model, which enables
you to see your life in a larger, more mythic perspective. By doing
so, it can help you find serenity and wisdom along your unique
journey. The Mythic Journey Model can be thought of as “The User’s
Guide to Joseph Campbell’s Hero’s Journey Model”. It takes his
powerful, yet rather abstract concepts and translates them into
useful, easy-to-apply practices. |

Think Like a Black Belt
with Jim
Bouchard
Black Belt Mindset is
about excellence. It's about continual self-perfection and personal
development. It's about POWER; which is not how you control people, it's
your ability to act and perform effectively.
Black Belt Mindset
means discipline, focus, timing and balance. These qualities haven't been
lost; we've just stopped training people in them. We've stopped expecting
excellence and we've rewarded mediocrity for too long.
Those days are OVER!
If you're going to succeed; if your organization is going to succeed, you'd
better Think Like a Black Belt! Develop discipline, focus and motivation for
excellence; for success for yourself and your company!
This is not a
"rah-rah" motivational program. Jim teaches a clear system to help everyone
cultivate power and a Black Belt Mindset for personal and professional
excellence.
Black Belt Mindset
opens you to new levels of performance and success. Teach everyone in your
organization to Think Like a Black Belt
and they unleash new levels of productivity
and creativity and that means profits!

Bouchard’s resume is rather diverse and colorful. Besides being a television
writer and producer, Jim has done everything from fitting pipes on
submarines, mopping floors, pumping gas and selling hot dogs to producing
television commercials, fighting fires, boxing, playing drums in major
concerts, hosting radio shows and kicking for semi-pro football teams.
Jim earned his black belt in 1991 and later founded Northern Chi
Martial Arts Center. He has been twice featured in Inside Kung Fu
magazine and in 2004 was inducted into the US Martial Arts Hall of Fame
as Master Instructor of the Year. During this time he also wrote a
series of martial arts instructional manuals, starred in training videos and
launched San Chi Publishing.

How Are We Uniquely Suited to What is Required of Us?
Performance Message with Jennifer Comeau
“No illusions. Yes understanding. My cloudy eyes are
becoming clear. I have a mission: It’s just to listen to the wisdom
that resides in here.” As the lyrics of Jennifer Comeau’s song
suggest, give up looking for gurus; give up seeking formulas or, dare
we say it, an answer key! Trust your own still voice -- and the set of
life experiences, personal preferences and sources of joy that make
you, uniquely you. In this music performance, singer-songwriter and
consultant, Jennifer Comeau inspires us to step up to what is required
in our lives, the community and the world in our own unique way.
Jennifer’s one focus is to inspire and unleash the human spirit. In
guiding participants through workshop intensives, in motivational
speaking, in coaching and leader development, and in performing her
original music -- each person receives the benefit of Comeau’s decades
of experience activating what is key to – and what lies in the way of
– our unique capacity for greatness.
“Jennifer Comeau is out to change the world one gratifying song at a
time, and you know what, I think she's onto something."
