The Cancer Community Center holds a very special place in my heart for many reasons.  When I need help dealing with my illness, I attend support groups that are offered at the CCC and share my cancer experience with people who really understand.  The Center has provided a wonderful way for me to give back to the cancer community as well. When I teach Rejuvenation & Movement classes, I help people living with cancer improve their physical well-being.  I have been able to paint, learn about macrobiotic cooking and relax with fabulous yoga classes.  All of these workshops are full of love and laughter which is the best kind of therapy!

The Cancer Community Center provides a warm atmosphere that always puts me at ease.  I always leave the Center feeling uplifted and inspired to LIVE and press forward in my cancer journey.  I hope you will consider a gift to the Cancer Community Center.  I know first hand that the free programs at the Center DO make a difference in enriching the quality of lives!

Ways of Giving

The Cancer Community Center would not exist without your compassion and generosity.  You can help ensure that the Center will be able to continue its mission of providing a rich variety of support programs to people and their loved ones living with cancer, at no charge.  All gifts directed to the Cancer Community Center stay here, allowing us to continue to meet the needs of those in our community.  The Cancer Community Center is a 501(c)3 not-for-profit organization.

Make a donation online today

Here are some ways you can help:

• Cash Donations always welcome, in any amount. Please make checks payable to the Cancer Community Center, or donate securely online by clicking here.

• Gifts of Appreciated Securities because a donation of appreciated securities generally avoids capital gains taxes, this may be a convenient way to increase your support to the Center.

• Planned Gifts including the Cancer Community Center in your estate plan creates a lasting legacy of support for our mission. There are numerous strategies for structuring a gift that suits your personal situation while meeting your charitable goals.

• Bequests provide for charitable contributions from your estate. Bequests are deductible as charitable gifts for estate tax purposes and can include most assets. A charitable bequest may be added to an existing will as a codicil.

• Charitable Remainder Trusts provide fixed or variable lifetime income and an immediate tax deduction. They also postpone capital gains taxes and can reduce estate taxes. The remainder benefits the Center.

• Charitable Lead Trusts provide income to the Center for a period of years, as well as substantial income and estate tax benefits. They may also maximize assets that eventually pass to your family.

• IRAs, Retirement Funds or Annuity Contracts can include the Center as the beneficiary of the account and provide an opportunity to save income and estate taxes and maximize bequests to family.

• Honor or Memory Gifts in the name of individuals, colleagues, or an event are a meaningful way to celebrate a special day or recognize those people who have touched your life.

• Community Fundraising Events are a great way to help the Center with not only raising money but helping to expand our outreach.

• Special Events are a large part of our fundraising but also help us to meet people and have fun!  Join us for some of our regular events, such as our Hit the Trails, Walk, Run or Stroll at Pineland Farms in September, Laughter is the Best Medicine comedy night in November, our Maine Mall Kiosk from mid-November until Christmas and our Online Auction every March.
